President Evariste Ndayishimiye has sacked his Prime Minister Alain Guillaume Bunyoni.
This comes following the Head of State's warning over some leaders planning a coup against him.
The Burundian president expressed his frustration in the country’s political capital after video clips circulated on social media showing the country’s Prime Minister Alain Guillaume Bunyoni lamenting about “individuals who are backbiting” instead of telling things straight away.
The warning was indirectly against the fired Prime Minister who he replaced today with General Gervais Ndirakobucuba who is the Internal Affairs Minister.
According to Uganda's online newspaper, ChimpReports the Parliament this morning approved Ndirakobucuba appointment and he will be sworn in later today.
